Partnership Improvement Programme
The Brief:
To facilitate local cross-sector collaboration between Local Authorities, other statutory agencies and local Voluntary Sector Organisations.
Engaging Just Ideas:
As an expert in participatory facilitation, Helen Garforth was approached by the Institute of Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) to be part of a team facilitating the IVAR and Local Government Improvement and Development Partnership Improvement Program. This has involved working on intensive four-day programmes with public sector and voluntary and community sector senior management, exploring benefits of and barriers to effective partnership working, and developing local action plans. Helen has delivered the programme in Torbay, Bournemouth, Southampton, and Thurrock, and is currently working in Worcestershire, Nottinghamshire and Dacorum. On the back of this, Just Ideas was also involved in developing and delivering the Targeted Support Fund Commissioning Improvement Programme.
